A lesson Ive learned this week….
-Be courageous enough to NOT let what matters MOST be put at the mercy of what matters LEAST-
Distractions are everywhere. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, the news, sports, your friends and family. Anywhere you are you are you have information at the touch of your fingertips. Any time of the day you can get caught up on what everyone else is doing. This can lead to a lot of wasted time. Productivity is at an all time low due to social media. People spend more time getting wrapped up in other people’s lives instead of creating and living their own.
“There’s no reason to have a plan B because it distracts from plan A” -Will Smith
This week we’ve been going over not just saying what our goals are, but actually establishing a plan and attacking it.
1) Start devoting more and more time toward your plan instead of spending it in front of your cell phone
2) Have the balls to block out all negative people in your life and only surround yourself with those who will help you develop as a person
3) Come to the realization of what matters MOST and what matters LEAST
Then you’ll start to gradually see change. It wont happen fast. Nothing ever does. but you’ll begin to recognize a pattern of how your time needs to be spent.
Beware of wolves in sheep in clothes. They are out there. They can be the biggest distraction to what matters most! These could be your co-workers during your lunch break. They could be your family with suggestions on what to do with your life. They could be someone offering you an “opportunity”. They could be your friends wanting you to go out with them on the weekend. There’s a million different ways you can spend your time. 999,000 of those ways are DISTRACTIONS from your goals. Identify what those are and begin to eliminate them. Advisory-THIS WILL BE HARD!
